Ambivalently Yours is a Canadian artist who makes work about feminism, online interactions and ambivalence. Her work has been shared virally online (which is how I discovered her work), as well as being shown locally and internationally.
She started sharing her drawings started in 2011, via a tumblr blog, to vent frustration she felt about her job. This then lead to them being shared around the internet, and then people began to request drawings based on their own personal struggles.
Her work is characterised by surreal faces and pink backgrounds.
She has also done a number of installations, including 'As Seen On Tumblr' in multiple different cities in Canada and the US.

Her work has influenced my work by incorporating personal emotions into art in a way that is emotive but childlike (or teenage) in the sense of being confused about feelings, using simple and short phrases to explain complicated things and talking in a way that is accessible for early teens.
The femininity of her work is also makes it more personal to me, as it feels as though it caters to my interests and is not ashamed to be girly. This is mainly shown through the colours, although could be criticised as it may be seen as excluding males, who may also need help opening up about feelings.
