Bill Woodrow and Richard Deacon
'We Thought About It A Lot'

Woodrow and Deacon are usually known for their 'shared sculptures', but in this exhibition, they reveal their 'shared drawings'.
Pre-COVID, they worked in a studio together to produce large drawings, produced with techniques such as collage, frottage, drawing in pen, pencil and ink. Animals are also occasionally used as motifs, paired with abstract marks.
During COVID, when lockdown was in place, they changed their technique and posted their drawings back and forth.
There is a clear difference between the pre-lockdown and lockdown drawings; pre-lockdown are larger, more colourful and more mingled, whereas the ones that they were apart for are almost split in half, with much less colour.
Mit Jai Inn
'Dreamworld'

This exhibition was done by Thai artist Mit Jai Inn, who works in an outside studio. Immediately there is an impression of freedom, expression and relaxation when looking at his work, expressed through the messiness and abstract nature to his pieces.
Mit describes painting as 'intensely physical' and 'deeply meditative', and it seems as though most of his strokes and pieces are made intuitively.

I immediately liked this exhibition a lot, for the abstract mark making, the interactivity, its large scale and the element of writing.
