Peter Millard
Peter Millard is an artist that was introduced to me by Alis when I mentioned using animation as a tool to express feelings of naivety and innocence.

On further exploration of his work, I realised how humourous and silly art, and animation can be. I knew I wanted to express a childish perspective through my animation, and looking in to Peter Millard helped me see further how I could do this.
"In a world where animation is mostly created on the computer I want to bring people back to a time where all they had was wax crayons, paper and their imagination."
He makes animations using analogue methods such as paper, wax crayons and pencils.

His animations are known for their laidback style, high energy and loud sounds, as well as 'childish' or simple pictures.
He was encouraged as a teenager to pursue the simple style of drawing, instead of focusing on trying to be an 'intricate, fine artist', which sets him apart from most animators working now.
